I take photos of just about everything, but especially humans, big and small, the sea and dogs. My photography is a very good reflection of who and what I am and I love the process of getting to photograph people I'd never have had the opportunity to meet if it hadn't been for my camera. I especially like uncontrived photography and always strive to bring people into their comfort zone when I photograph them.
My photographic journey began at university where I learned about photojournalism and the magic of developing black and white photographs . In London, I found Marcus Lyon, my mentor photographer who let me assist him at The Glassworks studio where I learned most of what I know about photography. I have received commissions from design and advertising agencies, corporates, editorial and several local and international NGOs. I now have 2 beautiful children and have moved to Cape Town to rear them and they are a constant source of inspiration for me. My work has become more focused on children, lifestyle, documentary and most recently, dogs.

And here’s a nice endorsement from a previous client
“Hannah has the extraordinary capacity to effortlessly capture the warmth of an individual's personality on film, having only met them for the first time a couple of minutes earlier. On our two day shoot around the UK with unpredictable weather, no location indoors or out proved too difficult for Hannah's creativity. Great to work with - consistently delivers excellent work” Tim Lawrie/ Art Director
